Golly has to decide whether to give his new son Cameron away to his late partner Meg's sister or whether to keep him. Lexie, Dorothy, Golly and Molly get marooned on an island in the middle of the loch, while Paul starts to think Jess has a crush on him.

Meanwhile, Jess, who feels that Golly is taking her for granted, participates in a strongman competition. However, though we as viewers may know that a couple are not saving sex for marriage, we are not going to actually see much of anything. The Ghost of Hector shows himself as Molly asks for help to decide on her new husband - Golly or Kilwillie. When he arrives, he finds that the news was a ploy by his mother, Molly, to get him to Scotland He learns he has inherited his father's title and estate, Laird of Glenbogle. I offer no apologies as this series is the sort of purchase to be made by someone familiar with the series rather than a blind purchase.Paul is surprised when the tree specialist he hired to check a potential infection on the estate turns out to have once left Iona at the alter; and is less than pleased to learn he must cut down acres of trees to save the forest.

It was also because I know That Which Happens At The End Of Season Two, and I was so not about to put myself through that when there was a danger of not being able to watch the third season. Meanwhile, Jess competes in the local Ghillie's challenge, as the only woman, with all odds stacked against her. This episode features special guests Julian Fellowes as Kilwillie; Hamish Clark as Duncan and Richard Briers as the ghost of Hector MacDonald.Duncan tries his pluck up the courage to ask Lexie to the ball, whilst Alan – an old flame of Katrina – arrives back in Glenbogle, with the aim to spite Archie and ruin the ball. Archie gets cold feet and tries to persuade Lexie to join him in a quest to the USA offered by Kilwillie.

Lots of things he does really annoy me (for instance: was he or was he not a male prostitute in that one episode? And then there are a bunch of significant characters that appear a few times and/or enter the show as regulars in later seasons.I've gotten really bad about replying in a timely manner, but it's always my intention to do so eventually.
