For anyone reminiscing about the Dreamcast hall effect sensors and wishes they were on a modern controller, well it seems like this might be the real deal. It might have a quirky name and look like a clone of an Xbox gamepad, but the GuliKit KingKong 2 Pro is the best near-universal Bluetooth controller I've tested to date. It’s a real shame there’s no companion app that could do all this for you; it would also provide a way to update the firmware that doesn’t require a PC. I played through all of Red Dead Redemption 2 with Gyro Aim and a Switch Pro Controller, and it was incredible, but the KingKong 2 Pro’s delay with its gyroscope changes the feeling of smooth, linear, direct and immersive aiming into something that feels like it’s momentum based. If you play on Switch, mobile, and/or PC, the GuliKit KingKong 2 Pro may have a silly name, but it's as good as any official gamepad out there and is packed with hidden tricks that sometimes make it an even better pick. This will disappoint fans of first-person shooters and other games that rely heavily on the triggers.

I put it into an X-input tester and did a circle test that revealed that the left stick only reached a value of . Include details about the defect and attach relevant supporting documentation, such as photos, if applicable. I also like how the controller manages connections, with separate, labeled buttons for selecting a device and turning on Bluetooth pairing (for a total of four device inputs), plus a clearly labeled LED indicating which is currently active. Using GuliKit’s own proprietary design, the Hall Effect sticks use electromagnetic signals to register inputs, rather than potentiometers like you’ll find in the Switch Pro Controller and almost every other gamepad.I will admit, the analog sticks feel incredible thanks to the steel analog stick caps and hardened gates. I have fought the urge to change the caption of the above image to “You’re so close that it’s almost not even worth mentioning, Gulikit! In Xbox 360 mode on PC: After I hit 8 simultaneous inputs sometimes additional inputs can get stuck. Deadzones are a responsibility of the developers and possibly the player through in-game settings, not controller manufacturers. The GuliKit KingKong 2 Pro separates itself from the pack with an NFC chip for use with Nintendo’s collectibles and the Switch (and presumably the Switch 2 when it launches).

The D-Pad is functional, a little stiff in some parts, but it’s at least better than the Switch’s D-Pad. New Patented Button] Kingkong Pro 2 controller with new patented button, Excellent Conductive Rubber Feel, 50 million Times of Ultra-Long Life, Anti-Stuck, Anti-Disconnection. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page. It has adjustable rumble, a six-axis gyroscope for use with games that support motion input, swappable AB/XY button assignments, XINPUT and DINPUT modes for PC use, an auto-fire function, and a macro recording key that record and play back up to 10 minutes of key presses (which are saved to a text file that can be edited on a PC).Unlike most reviewers, I held off on reviewing it until I could finally nail down my opinion after daily-driving it for months.

Heavily marketed as a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller alternative, the GuliKit KingKong 2 Pro actually has a wide range of compatibility. That’s not cheap, but it’s equivalent to or only a little more than the official Nintendo Switch Pro controller, wireless PowerA Enhanced, 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller, and Xbox Core Controller, among others. There’s one weak link in the controller’s excellent feel: the triggers, which also use Hall effect sensors.I’m assuming that KingKong 2 is an extremely rough translation of whatever it means in the native language. I personally don't mind DS4 as the controller is considerably bigger and spacious between the two sticks so my hands don't feel cramped. Then there are the input modes: Switch Pro, Xbox 360 for windows, what I think is Xbox one for iOS/Android, and dinput for those of you that hate xinput. on the analog stick’s x axis when I did a full tilt to the right, so I had to tilt the analog stick slightly to the left, reset the centre point, and now I can strafe just fine. This is something that might not be a concern to casual audiences, but a 20% deadzone is a deal breaker for professional play in any capacity that relies on deadzone being something as small as 1–2%.
